Congratulations to Riza Pradhan, a UTA College of Architecture, Planning, and Public Affairs student, designed a plan to reduce campus stormwater runoff and won the EPA Campus RainWorks Challenge. The winning entry in the Master Plan category was titled “Eco-Flow: A Water-Sensitive Placemaking Response to Climate Change” and focused on water runoff rates at UTA student living, dining, recreation, and parking facilities.
EurekAlert! wrote a featured article about the challenge winner, explaining how Pradhan’s plan, called “Eco-Flow: A Water-Sensitive Placemaking Response to Climate Change”, will reduce non-permeable surfaces, decrease heat contributions, and increase the tree canopy in the project area.
